Now responsible for a global team of 60 IT professionals across infrastructure, development, implementation and innovation. Successfully rolled out marketing operations solutions in multiple countries, languages and business processes. Promoted to Head of IT for European communications and marketing business. Now responsible for a team of 25 IT professionals. Leading a cross business ERP implementation and onboarding new business solutions.Previously responsible for Leadership and management of IT systems, strategy and outsourcing for one of Xerox Global Services main businesses. Leader of IT department with seat at executive board level and influence across European outsourcing business. Responsible for business systems delivery and operational support for £80m public sector contract – the largest single outsourced account in Europe. My main achievements so far are firstly I have rationalised resource costs, i.e. reduced overall resource spend by over £500K. Secondly the infrastructure and hosting costs have been reduced by over £750K through effective sizing of the contract and through price negotiation. In addition I've built trusted relationships with customer and supplier base. From a delivery perspective the main achievements have been the delivery of variable data print solution - www.direction.ionpass.co.uk as well as a the implementation of a brand asset management tool and communications centre for a large public sector client.Following the early local successes I have been able to get involved in and have lead cross Xerox business systems management initiatives. In my spare time I've also taken on the leadership of a cross functional business improvement project that is used as benchmark for CIPD reseach.

My main responsibility during this time was ensuring that all project work within £200m UK business was delivered on time, on budget and on specification. Some examples of the projects I lead are the implementation of £10m Automated Warehouse management system, a company wide self service Oracle HR system, a hand held in-store merchandiser solution to 1500 colleagues, the delivery of Hallmark’s first on-line E-commerce solution - Hallmark.co.uk. and an Oracle / JDE to SAP conversion feasibility study that lead to an executive level business case presentationThe day job involved the leadership of 25 person team including 5 project managers, business analysts and developersThe role also covered infrastructure and operational requirements including the implemention of a robust I-series upgrade with no loss of business continuityDuring this time my team and I delivered an employee motivation increase of 20% across both application and services teams – over 50 colleaguesI also worked with the wider business - I was a key member of business executive board with proven strategic input.

My main role was business relationship management. During this time I was promoted to UK Exec team with direct responsibility to the MD of the UK businessI also took on a 6 month secondment to the business to implement an innovative supply chain planning process that addressed serious serviceability concerns for business, delivering over £400K of savings for the UK business in its first year. Also delivered key strategic projects – successfully delivered on time and on budget the following. Implementation of Oracle Enterprise one (JDE world) ERP system for £60m business with no effect on business continuity. A complete infrastructure refresh for core UK business. Rollout of retail space planning tool. Also Responsible for planning, development and motivation of a both Services and Delivery teams (30 people) and budget management of £3m operational budget. Successfully delivered year on year cost reductions on this budgetI was also personally responsible for delivery of International IT strategy to senior executive team. Successfully delivered strategy over 3 year period.The role wasn't confined to the UK - I was also accountable for IT delivery teams in Netherlands and Australia

I started with Parker Hannifin as an analyst programmer - delivering systems written in Visual Basic and RPG to many locations across the world.I became responsible for the strategy, planning and organising of Parker Hannifin’s E-commerce, EDI and inter-company electronic trading initiatives for 103 locations in 28 countries. Key member of Parker’s International IT Management Team delivering high profile supplier collaboration projects with major blue chip companies.My team and I implemented over £1m savings for the company through these projectsI developed strong E-commerce skills including in depth knowledge of a wide range of E-commerce technology, EDI standards, systems and solutions.In addition I was involved in the implementation and support of JD Edwards distribution, sales order and purchase order processing modules
