On leaving school at 16 I enrolled in college to continue his academic schooling and achieved 9 GCSE's and 2 A levels including a A/S Level in Sociology. On my free days I started working at Fenns of Piccadilly at the shop in London's Soho, working part time.On leaving college he became a full time member of the Fenns team working under the careful eye of both his father and brother Lee.I learnt the butchery and also was told I had a real talent for designing stunning window displays at the Soho shop.As Fenns moved further into the catering trade I was asked to take up the position of shop manager allowing both Stan and Lee to concentrate of developing the catering side of the business. Again I grew rapidly into this position meeting the task head on with some might say a very similar flair and no nonsense attitude to his father Stan.When the decision to move away from the shops into a purpose built high spec catering unit was made, I knew I was going to have to adapt from a shop butcher into a catering one. This I did, as with the move up to Shop manager, in my stride. It was decided that there was a need for two shifts, a day shift and one to run through the night.The decision was taken that Lee would run the night shift and I would run the days with Stan taking a backward role in the office and concentrating on improving the company buying. In 2008 I was promoted up to full director which I am immensely proud of.My work ethics come from a strong family base and even as the company has grown I have retained those ethics, helping to maintain a strong family led feeling to the business. I was instrumental in Fenns achieving a B grade in it's BRC accreditation at their first attempt. Not being satisfied with a B grade, I pushed things forward and in the following year Fenns achieved and has maintained their BRC A grade. I enjoy working with chefs helping them plan menus and come up with new and creative ideas that they can use in their business's.

I was taught the basics of butchery and also worked in the shop serving the general public.
