CurrentPerforming all or some of the following duties in all roles with varying levels of responsibility:• Managing the Electrical Control Centre and Consumer Customer Call Centre on behalf of the local city council• Maintaining the Safety and Training Department for staff and contractor training • Overseeing daily operations with meticulous attention to detail• Establishing and maintaining communication networks including VOIP, ROIP, internet services and SCADA data networks• Maintaining IT infrastructure • Supervising, coaching, training, motivating and mentoring personnel, setting clear goals and expectations, providing relevant feedback and discipline as required• Establishing, implementing and overseeing effective systems, processes and controls for safe electrical network operation• Delivering a high standard of sales, administrative, marketing and financial support• Customer service and liaison, building strong working relationships and effective communication channels with key stakeholders, resolving complaints and enquiries• Planning and managing team performance, skills development, talent, and culture to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies• Data entry and database management, maintaining meticulous records• Compiling load shedding schedules • Formulating information systems to produce SAIDI, SAIFI and CAIDI performance indicators• Conducting load flow analysis to make informed decisions on open points of the electrical networks• Implementing a smart metering system in the Metro, utilised during load shedding• Planning and implementing a web-based app for consumers to log electrical faults, allowing faults to be dispatched immediately to field technicians, thereby reducing repair time• Planning and implementing an Adroit SCADA system and DMP3 Communication protocol for the Metro, including auditing all substations and switch houses• Planning and installing a wireless LAN network
