Work carried out regularly with substation and linkbox installation, new electrical connections to residential and commercial properties.Overlay and faults during a contract obtained, responsible for the organisation of civil digging and the jointing team.Substation installation up to 25KV jointing kits. All cables installed are tested for insulation resistance and continuity. Live cables are tested for voltage, phase rotation and polarity. Cables worked on are Paper Insulated Lead Covered, waveform XLPE, Consentric Alumminum, Paper insulated Corigated Alumminum Sheath, XLPE Triple X all sizes up to 300.Other responsibilities:- Deliver the job to time and guaranteed service levels- Carry out risk assessments- Ensure completion of projects to agreed timescales- Maintain site safety at all times and complete daily risk assessments.- Maintain awareness of SHE policy and issued safety instructions.- To notify the line manager in advance of and understand any variations in the design- Accept delivery of materials and check inspection- Responsible for the efficient use of materials and Company property- Keep vehicles clean and tidy and report any damage to line manager immediately Show less
