Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role leads the People & Culture function, supporting approximately 70 head office staff, 3500 employees and 100 franchise partners across 200 restaurants in Australia. I am responsible for providing a range of P&C operational support and services which help meet the business needs to employees and managers. The role is also responsible for providing generalist advice in relation to relevant awards/legislation and also managing employment/industrial relations queries.

I am responsible for providing a range of P&C operational support and services which help meet the business needs to employees and managers. This includes responding to staff queries and providing P&C related information, preparing documents, reporting, developing policies and procedures in a range of areas including P&C systems, end to end payroll for the corporate office, WHS/Workcover administration, performance review and management support, coordinating onboarding, assisting with staff training and development, providing generalist advice in relation to relevant awards/legislation and also managing ER inquiries.Key Achievements:• Assisted in the implementation of a restructure of the business resulting in a $9m cost saving.• Developed and established an internal employment relations advice helpline for Pizza Hut franchisees and employees.• Lead the set-up of processes in the P&C team including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment and WH&S protocols.• Developed a risk and compliance process including a payroll audit for Pizza Hut outlets.• Lead the set-up of an internal perks and benefits project which enabled Pizza Hut employees’ access to a range of discounts and incentives.• Lead the development of over 15 updated corporate policies and procedures.

Seconded role - Manage the performance and operations of 14 restaurants. Coach and support Franchise Partners on how to grow their business. Developing skills of managers and team members on how to improve operational execution and store results.

In this compliance-based role I am responsible for improving quality of restaurant operations by evaluating restaurant performance against detailed Food Safety, Brand and Local standards and providing coaching to improve restaurant performance. As an Operations Specialist I am responsible for auditing restaurants in multiple states/territories across the country.I am also responsible for performing franchise HR/ER compliance audits. These audits require me to have knowledge and interpret industrial instruments and enterprise agreements. This ensures franchisee compliance to relevant brand best practice and Australian ER regulations and includes coaching franchisees on ER best practice.This role largely consists of stakeholder engagement and education, as well as building strong coaching relationships with franchisees and store management to gain cooperation and alignment to improve store operational performance.
