I thought it might be helpful to tell you a little about myself. I’m a happy, positive, life-affirming person, with an insatiable curiosity about human behaviour; what drives and motivates us, and why we do what we do. My family and friends are most important to me; I take pride in them knowing that they can lean on me, no matter what the circumstances. I’m happily married with three children who are now young adults. My coaching bona fides are founded in a lifelong study of human behaviour, on personal, academic and professional levels. I’m fascinated with relationships, which I see as integral to all aspects of our lives, whether these are Romantic, Family, Friendships, Incidental or Work-based. I believe that most of what is achieved in life takes place via interactions with others, and these interactions are relationships, however brief they may be. I have over twenty years of experience in the Ministry of Justice, which deals with civil and family conflict resolution at court level. I am also a 1st class honours psychology graduate and a member of the British Psychological Society. Perhaps more importantly I have an adult lifetime of helping people become more, and achieve more for themselves and their loved ones.

Personal CoachDean Whiteley Coaching Sep 2018 - PresentUnited KingdomYou’ll find me really easy to talk to, relaxed, empathetic and non-judgmental. I’ll help you find different ways to ‘frame’ the issues you’re dealing with, and work out practical strategies to overcome them. Whether we’re dealing with relationships – intimate or otherwise, communication or confidence, it’s vital to remember that these are all skills, and can therefore be learned. In the same way that when we first tried to do things like swim, ride a bike or drive a car, we were not experts straight away. It’s good therefore to make the connection with having to learn the skills to handle the softer matters in our lives. Understanding this, I’ll help you realise how much control and power you really have.

Kitchen DesignerB&Q Dec 2018 - Aug 2019Swansea, United KingdomWalking the customer through the design journey from the first hello to the sale point. When B&Q removed commision from the sales and design team at B&Q I stepped in teaching the new team a different way of thinking about the customer journey. Focussing the new team on learning not only how to design, but also the fundaments of human behaviour and how they experience sales environments. My guidance included negotiating the customer tension barrier, forging a relationship, understanding how to influence through trust, and closing each sale based around each customer's unique perspective and experience. These measures have resulted in the Swansea Showrooms team constantly appearing at the top of the regional sales figures. -
