As Campus Summer School Coordinator, I assist to disseminate testing data for Grade 8, determine which students must be offered remediation opportunity, enroll students from the home campus plus other campuses, and create schedules to work in conjunction with student needs and instructor strengths. I oversee aspects of a summer school operation, including management of students and staff, curriculum, testing, food service, transportation, and payrollAs chairperson for campus 504 committee, I oversee the following: Section 504 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits discrimination based upon disability. Section 504 is an anti-discrimination, civil rights statute that requires the needs of students with disabilities to be met as adequately as the needs of the non-disabled are met. As chairperson for campus SBLC, I oversee the following: School Building Level Committee is a general education problem-solving team. The members of the SBLC team work together to develop solutions for students who need additional support in the classroom. *SBLC provides a forum which allows parents and staff to address concerns about student performance. *SBLC increases student success by providing interventions or strategies to the teacher, parent, and student, *SBLC ensures that available services are used effectively. *SBLC involves parents in the educational process.
