Reported to the CEO to scale up the Executive, Management and People teams following a successful Series A fundraise.

Reporting to the CEO & part of the Exec team: we scaled the business to 300 people across 20 global locations then sold the business to News Corp in 2015 for $176M. I took on the additional role of Integration Director following the exit. As CPO, I had responsibility for global People strategy across recruitment, reward (pay, bens, bonus, share options, payroll), culture & policy, L&D, people data and international office spaces. I also set up and grew the Unruly Hive, a co-work space in our London HQ for start-ups, and collaborated with Cass Business School to launch and develop City Unrulyversity, a weekly pop-up University to inspire and inform the next generation of digital entrepreneurs. My favourite CPO initiatives:- Oneruly Day: launching a quarterly whole-company hackathon that kicks off in Sydney and closes in LA- Dragons Nest: an evening of big ideas, knowledge sharing and pizza- Unrulyfest: celebrating a decade of Unruly with a Midsummer Nights Dream party in the Shard, with every Unruly flown in from around the world- Refactoring quarterly goal questions every quarter, to ensure they always underpinned business strategy- Unruly Net Promoter Score (NPS): high frequency feedback from employees on whether they'd recommend us as a place to work- Building the global People team from scratch, transitioning to a business partnering model & then crushing our #fab50 hiring target in less than 12 weeks. Unruly then transitioned to being a key client of my company Breakfast People.
