Over 30 years' experience in software development building custom software solutions for a variety of customers. For the past several years I've been working as a consultant/project manager for mid-level manufacturers, guiding them through digital transformation initiatives. I've found it very interesting to learn about the unique products that are built, the manufacturing processes used to build them, and all the supporting IT systems. As an Industrial Engineer (IE) graduate from GA Tech, I've always enjoyed the manufacturing realm. The systems that we developed for these customers were typically internal and external web portals built on the Microsoft stack, running in Azure, with a SQL Server database. Custom integrations are built into different financial and payroll systems such as Business Central, ViewPoint, Tekla, PLEX, Sales Force, PayCom, PayCor, and others. They commonly include data analysis and reporting built with SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, and Power BI Report Builder. Prior to that, I developed a suite of software packages that we sold to the National Guard. These products were used (and a few still are) for many years before they were retired.
