There is no doubt that our climate is changing. But, what can we do?I’m passionate about doing what I can personally to be more sustainable, and to help others. I help cities with their residential sustainability plans and action in order to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.I became interested in residential sustainability 8 years ago when my wife and I were embarking on our own home remodeling project. We were frustrated with the lack of guidance on how to get the greatest emission reduction with the least cost. As a result, I now focus my time on helping others.Through the use of community awareness, education, engagement, action, and advocacy, the goal is to reduce the city’s GHG emissions according to the goals laid out in their Climate Action Plan. Not only does this benefit the city, but it provides cost savings and a better way of life for the residents as well.Managing a community’s sustainability program requires someone that is passionate, is data driven, has experience with new product introduction and engagement, and has experience in managing diverse teams of people to accomplish a common goal.
