I’m just a typical northern bloke with two sons, a long-suffering wife, and an unhealthy obsession with self-storage. So much so, in fact, that I launched the UK’s first (and only) self-storage podcast; Hacking Self Storage. Over the past seven years, I have started and grown my own self-storage facilities; one indoor and one outdoor, and we’re excited about our continued growth. But what I’ve learnt from being immersed in the industry for this long, is that there is not enough support available for people, by other people in the self-storage world. After trembling my way through my first keynote speech at the Self Storage Expo in Vegas in 2019, I decided to offer more support to my industry, which is why I started the Hacking Self Storage Podcast. I’ll be honest, it’s mainly an excuse to geek out with my fellow storage lovers, but we also cover so much valuable information and guidance for other entrepreneurs learning to navigate the storage world. When I can be reluctantly torn away from chatting all things self-storage, my time is spent being a devoted family man.
