About Dean Taylor

You’ll normally find me where something big is happening; and I may well have started it. I help companies set new directions, identify and win new business and put delivery solutions and supply chains in place, operating as a catalyst and leader at the forefront of new aircraft projects and availability services.I make sense of a complex environment or requirement, create the clear foundations for a strategy, service or proposal – and then provide the structure and momentum to turn that into reality. It’s about providing the holistic view, making the complex clear and knitting together technical and commercial solutions to deliver distinctive and innovative high quality strategies, business solutions and bids, on time. I am proud to have been part of both AirTanker and Affinity Flying Training Services - they provide critical new capabilities for the RAF. I initiated Rolls-Royce involvement in FSTA, ran major elements of the AirTanker sales campaign and wrote the key bid documents. At Affinity I built and led the bid team, selecting and securing partners and advisors, ran multiple phases of bid submissions and integrated the technical activity up and down the supply chain. These complex project finance deals set the bar high for maturity pre contract award - I have become adept at service solution and supply chain definition and early risk reduction. I've also managed re-lets on 2 major availability contracts for MOD – so I bring a 360 degree view of how deals get done.Working on training and operational assurance it became clear to me that there is a lack of modern competitive aircraft options around; my energies are now mainly focussed on doing something about that.
