He started his first professional job at Konica Minolta (office automation). After climbing the ranks to General Manager he found his passion in dealing with large corporate contracts and government tenders. He successfully obtained and executed various high level projects and accounts in his 13 years employment with the firm.Wanting to build something of his own, Dean decided to open his first company specializing in product sourcing and facilitation, dealing with various products from cleaning chemicals, medical supplies, office equipment and furniture and security equipment. A growing interest in the security industry is what lead him to opening his second company in 2013, Urban Technology Systems (UTS), which specializes in the supply and maintenance of Security Equipment and Products. With his seasoned perspective on facilitation procedures he has lead Urban Technology Systems to it's current position as a market leader in the security industry in the greater Eastern Cape Region with clients going as far as Johannesburg. With a mature leadership and mentoring approach he leads a dedicated team, devoted to realizing his professional dream of growing his company to a national level. Being personally involved with every aspect of the day to day operating of his company he has gained the understanding and knowledge to successfully implement new strategic strategies across the board to ensure his company is successful and profitable while staying true to its mission, vision and values. To formalize his many years of experience he is currently working towards his Level 6 Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply through the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. When Dean is not a dedicated business man he is a devoted husband and farther to two boys. As a family they enjoy the outdoors and often travel.
