About Dean W. Dimke
Dean is the Chief Executive Officer of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation where he leads the organization’s efforts to raise funds to support the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach. Since joining the foundation in September of 2020, his focus has been in developing a strategic vision and increasing financial support which ensures that high-quality services at the library will always be available. Dean has also increased partnerships with community leaders, corporations, and other key stakeholders. Dean brought over 30 years of fundraising and communications experience to the WPB Library Foundation. He is a passionate and tireless advocate to better the community throughout Palm Beach County, previously serving as the CEO of American Red Cross Palm Beach and Treasure Coast Chapter, where he directed the response to five major hurricanes that impacted the area. He has also worked in the private sector bringing his expertise and talents to the National Council on Compensation Insurance and KEMET Electronics. Dean has received several leadership awards from the American Red Cross and was the keynote speaker at its national convention in 2005. He earned his B.A. in Communications and Marketing from the University of Louisville (KY), where he was born and raised. He currently lives in Delray Beach, FL and has three sons Tate, Lowell, and Blaise. His hobbies include listening to live music, working out and cooking.
