Daily task consisted of Measurement and Testing services from prototype balancing and gauging, product evaluation, research & development, field work, running production volumes, to master certification. When in the field I was responsible for installation/repair/maintenance of manual semi-automatic and fully automatic balance and inspection systems for the production of rotary components, driveshaft’s, Turbo chargers, and many other manufacturing components within the U.S. and throughout the world. Troubleshooting and modification of software and PLC programs are also examples of the duties I performed while out in the field. I often would provide technical expertise as well as onsite repairs and mechanical, PC, and software upgrades.I was also responsible for debug on both new and retrofit machines in-house, working closely with the Software and Controls engineers to insure the machine is operating at peak performance. The same was done with customers prior to shipment of the machine reviewing studies and insuring the machine correlates with the customer’s specification. I performed troubleshooting electrical issues with oscilloscope’s and multi-meters of existing machine issues. I also trained operators and maintenance technicians on appropriate machine operation at customer facilities.
