Placed orders by phone, fax and emails to order products from suppliers for parts for a variety of brands of vacuum cleaners. Purchased vacuums for stock. Initiated a process of scheduled order dates which saved the company $100’s of dollars per month on shipping costs. Maintained and controlled inventory levels according to stock and production needs. Worked directly with suppliers to monitor ship dates, costing, and verification and confirmation of P.O. acknowledgements for accuracy. Negotiated costs and coordinate with freight lines for pick-up of product and timely deliveries (logistics). Used Microsoft Excel to log deliveries into inventory and maintained accurate inventory counts. Performed regular cycle counts and quarterly inventory reports, tracked bin locations and movement of product in flow process. Evaluated and monitored contracts to ensure compliance.

Prepared bills of lading, delivery slips and packing slips for shipments. Coordinated with freight lines for pickup of product and timely deliveries. Directed company delivery driver for efficiency and timeliness. Coordinate with customer service representatives on status of orders. Operated forklift, roll truck and floor jacks. Received and checked incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage. Recorded incoming shipments and coordinated paperwork with accounting office. Organized the warehouse. Wrapped and banded skids in preparation for shipping. Loaded trucks, delivered packages from UPS, FedEx, SpeeDee and other truck lines to proper departments. Performed inventory control checks.
