Ever hear your parents go on about how gaming does nothing for you? How playing video games just wastes your time and doesn't give you a future? Well, I am here to say that is not true, and I can say so because of how I came to love technology.I can remember a very popular game through the 2010s called Minecraft. I used to love playing that game growing up. I would be eager to come home from school, just to sit at the computer and play Minecraft for multiple hours. This relates for my passion for technology because I remember playing, and one day, I pressed the F3 button by accident. This revealed a ton of information about my positioning in the game, what I'm looking at, but more importantly, it showed what I had inside the computer. I remember looking up at the screen and looking at the sticker on the side of the computer, and they had the same parts! I was fascinated with how the game could know what I had in my computer, but I was more fascinated about what was in the computer itself.Fast forward a year, I get in high school, and I had this interest to learn about technology, and I had a teacher who taught a Technology, Engineering & Design class. I signed up for that class and this is when I knew I was walking down the right path. Learning things from programming small robots, to using CAD software like Autodesk Inventor, and learning how to program a FANUC robotic arm.Now I've built a total of four computers, and I've worked at a job where troubleshooting now runs in my blood, and I am currently taking courses to achieve my Google IT Certificate and hope to use my current knowledge, skills, and passion, and apply it at a job that benefits both me and my employer.
