I was tasked with producing content on location for the Intrepid Group's various brands, including Geckos Adventures, Intrepid, Peregrine and Urban Adventures.

I was brought into the world’s biggest adventure travel company to write, edit and manage content. My days usually involved:■ Creating and developing concepts for digital campaigns, including social, print, video, email and search.■ Producing and editing brochure copy for multiple travel brands, including Intrepid Travel, Geckos Adventures and Peregrine Adventures.■ Collaborating with the product department to create travel itineraries that adhered to particular brand voices.■ Producing and editing blog content for the brands of Intrepid, Geckos, Peregrine and Adventure Tours Australia.■ Writing web content for the new site builds of Geckos and Peregrine.

As Kariba’s Content Manager, it was my job to map out strategies that were tailored to multiple brands. My days usually involved: ■ Developing content plans for brands based on research and data.■ Creating brand personalities, in terms of voice, image, tone and permanence. ■ Integrating traditional and digital marketing campaigns.■ Determining a solid process between departments for requesting, creating, developing and repurposing content.■ Measuring how successful the content performed, while identifying the key areas that could be enriched.■ Gathering data via analytics and using this information to present to clients, along with new ideas and strategies.■ Working closely with design and development teams to implement appropriate site architecture based on UX.

My role as editor was focused on creating and maintaining a long-term content strategy, while leading a team of writers and coordinators. My days usually involved:■ Creating content plans and strategies for articles, features, blogs, infographics and video.■ Working alongside graphic designers & filmmakers to repurpose content.■ Creating, editing and publishing new content, including blogs, white papers and adverts for national and international trade publications.■ Writing and submitting award submissions (Winner of The People’s Awards 2014 and the Business Travel Awards 2015).■ Producing content for clients such as Sky, Ernst & Young and Barclays.■ Moderating, editing and submitting PR comments and submissions.■ Coordinating with editors of trade publications, journalists and marketing departments to fulfil PR opportunities.■ Working alongside SilverDoor’s SEO manager to optimise web content.

This role finely balanced the management of community websites and large commercial brands. My days usually involved:■ Creating strategies and stories for brands such as Visit Antigua & Barbuda, Guy Salmon and Metro Bank.■ Copywriting and content management of multiple brands.■ Leading the website build of This is our Town Kingston, with a focus on UX, UGC and lead generation.■ Working with designers, developers and writers to repurpose content.

Improving communications between departments and repurposing content were the key aspects of this role. My days usually involved:■ Writing copy for internal communications within retail and banking.■ Managing written content on the company website. ■ Working with designers, developers and writers to repurpose content.■ Supervising social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

My role was created to increase sales through the promotion of events such as F&B master classes, weekly incentives and various membership schemes. I also managed display advertising, social media channels and PR.
