As the Program Coordinator for the Enrichment Studies Unit (ESU) at Queen's University, I was responsible for organizing program logistics, recruiting, selecting, and training student staff and course instructors, and communicating as a program liaison with parents, school partners, and university administration. I was also responsible for the redevelopment of both ESU's brand messaging, as well as its budget and pricing models. Prior to my role as coordinator, I acted as an instructor with the ESU program, developing and teaching multiple cohorts of two courses focused on core business concepts and entrepreneurship: "How To Be Your Own Boss" and "It's Nothing Personal, It's Just Business".The Enrichment Studies Unit has been providing experiential educational opportunities to elementary and secondary students for over 25 years. Located on the beautiful campus of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, we’ve welcomed over 100,000 students into our program and provided leadership opportunities to over 1,500 Queen’s students. Our mission is to enrich highly motivated youth by challenging them academically, developing them personally, and inspiring them with an exceptional Queen’s University experience.

As a part-time professor within the School of Business, my role was to act as a teacher, mentor, and facilitator in the process of learning and personal development for students. I was responsible for the delivery of BUSI3007 - Organizational Behaviour, a semester two course that examines the factors that influence human behaviour and performance in the workplace, including emotional intelligence, personality, motivation, team behaviour, leadership, organizational change and cultural characteristics.Loyalist College offers a comprehensive range of career-oriented education and training opportunities to support and enhance the economic and social development of individuals and our communities. As a faculty member for SHAD Queen's, my role was to act as a teacher, mentor, and facilitator in the process of learning and personal development for each of the SHADs. To do so, I was responsible for providing business and entrepreneurship-specific content and expertise through original lectures and workshops, as well as working with other faculty members to develop various programming elements including a mini-project, major theme-based project, and academic enrichment activities.SHAD is an award-winning summer enrichment program for Canada’s brightest young men and women. Hosted at many university campuses across Canada, the program is based upon core values of creativity, excellence, community, diversity and responsibility. The participants are secondary school students (Grade 10 -12) who are exceptionally well-rounded in the areas of academic performance, creativity, community contributions and leadership. Each year Queen’s University welcomes students into residence from across Canada for four weeks in the month of July.SHAD is about nurturing innovation and inspiring passion. Given the opportunity to become the first Supervisor of the BQYC's Sailing School, I was able to build a business structure from scratch. In my role I developed the operational protocol, documentation, branding, and marketing and communications materials that are still in use today. I also had the opportunity to spend time with a great group of students and instructors, making for a fantastic summer on the water.The Bay of Quinte Yacht Club is a local destination for sailing enthusiasts of all ages.
