Hello, I am a BSc (Hons) Medical science Student at the University of Middlesex and an aspiring Scientist keen to work within the field of Biomedical sciences. Adaptable, hard-working and competent, I possess an ability to overcome any hurdle put in front of me. In previous years, I have always put my problem solving, critical thinking and leadership skills to the test having applied myself further in Secondary school being a Prefect voted in by my fellow peers in Pendergast Vale School in Lewisham, and further in Westminster City Sixth form in the Scholars Program, for my EPQ, in which I explored the question “Can we predict Dementia?” being awarded a 2.1st by PhD tutor Pangiota Kontari of Cambridge University. Driven and passionate, in the future through my team working and problem solving skills I hope to delve further into my studies to potentially answer question such as “How do we cure cancer?” or “What causes Alzheimer’s disease?”, questions that remain unanswered but fascinate me and others in my field.In my spare time, I am a versatile part-time worker, having applied myself in various fields within retail and hospitality from Bartending and bar-back to retail assistant in M&S. I also have a passion for martial arts, having achieved a 1st Dan grade Black belt in Taekwondo in which I have devoted passionately 10+ years of my life honing my skills and confidence through self development, reflection and teaching which I continue to do. As of Currently, I am seeking part time work to fund my studies, aspiring to become a full fledged Scientist within the Healthcare science sector.
