Responsible for surveying the ocean and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety. Duties include speaking with swimmers to enforce swimming rules keeping track of each swimmer in the water and administering first aid/CPR to injured swimmers.

• Inform guests of surfing techniques, ocean safety techniques, and surf etiquette to protect individuals.• Inspire, support, and motivate students to help develop surfing skills.• Analyze swell size, direction, tide, and wind to determine best surf spots for student groups.

• Demonstrated proper form and stroke technique to athletes in the water.• Encouraged students to perform at their personal best using positive reinforcement.• Encouraged team members to become stronger, more agile athletes and more successful competitors through focus, effective training, and proper nutrition.• Built strong media and community relationships through positive interaction and communication supporting the sports program.
