The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a non for profit organization which aims to provide its members the highest quality lifelong learning, and continuous personal and professional development. SPE Western Australia has over a 1000 members and holds educational events like monthly technical seminars, short courses and social events such as sundowners, young professionals meetings and an annual ball which are great way for our members to network. I have had various roles on the Board of SPE, which includes: SPE WA Chairman, SPE WA treasurer, SPE WA Sponsorship Chairperson, Program Chairperson, Scholarship Chairperson, SPE Young Professionals.

Varanus Island Gas Hub produces oil and gas, which is sold to the Western Australia domestic market. I work as the onsite Engineer for process plant and offshore assets, reasonable for ensure safe and efficient operations.

In 2013 I was asked to take a Governors role for the Petroleum Club of WA. As a Governor I provide guidance for the club operations and specific support for Next Generation Program and Intro into the petroleum seminar (ITPS). The Next Generation Program aims to educate high school students about the oil and gas industry, the employment opportunities and the benefits of gas as a clean energy source through sending oil and gas representatives (mentors) to the schools. I act as a mentor and provide support to other mentors. ITPS is a one day seminar which provides an overview for professionals new to the oil and gas industry. I present either the intro, development or production section of this seminar.

I work on Petroleum Engineering activities which include well testing, production allocation and optimisation. I am also responsible for production modelling Apache operated gas assets and Champion Apache’s Aim-up program which looks at improving the performance of its operated assets.

Apache Energy is Reservoir Engineering and Project Economics, duties include Reservoir Characterization of new wells, well test interpretation and planning, Project / Well Economics, Field Development planning and Corporate production forecasting and budgeting

Some of the projects I have worked on include:Reservoir Simulation – Full field reservoir simulation of a gas storage field in the Perth Basin. This consisted of building a model from scratch, history matching 30 years of production and pressure data and finally forecasting various production/injection scenarios and conducting a risk analysis. Reservoir Simulation – Full field reservoir simulation modelling of an onshore oil and gas field in the Perth Basin. This simulation project consisted of history matching twelve producing wells and accessing the development well forecast options. Wellsite Operations – Fracture stimulation and testing of multi zone, tight gas well in the Paradox Basin, Grand County Utah, U.S. Wellsite operations include:CSG Characterisation - This included reviewing and reinterpretation of production tests, analysing adsorption/desorption data, creating a regional pressure versus depth trends, generating production type curves for production forecasting and generating a conceptual drilling plan.New Ventures Evaluations – Various field evaluations for potential farmin agreements in Australia and South East Asia
