Prinect Applications Specialist
CurrentMy job includes implementing Heidelberg Workflow and other prepress systems at customer sites including consulting, installation and configuration to customer requirements and operator training. I provide first and second level technical support on prepress products using web-based remote tools. I also perform software testing, write documentation and assist with product demonstrations. I am instrumental in training Heidelberg USA Versafire digital press operators on how to print with the digital press as well as how to configure and submit jobs using both Fiery and Heidelberg Prinect digital front ends. I set up and configure these front ends with the customer network so that they work seamlessly with the customer environment. I am responsible for training operators on Heidelbergs new Gallus One digital narrow web label press. I instruct and train new and accomplished press operators on the functions of the press as well as the Prinect workflow. Installation of the Prinect digital front end and integration into the customer network is also a part of my responsibilities. I have extensive web press experience with previous employment assembling, training and maintaining VL2000 drop on demand presses and Prosper high speed four color and Black & White drop on demand presses.I assist the Heidelberg Technical Assistance Center by using remote tools to help troubleshoot, guide and train customers via the web.I enjoy troubleshooting hardware and software problems as well as helping customers to increase print volume, reduce waste, minimize labor cost, enhance yields on consumables and maximize press uptime.I have worked in the printing industry since 1988 and thrive on helping people understand complex and often challenging hardware and software changes.
