In this role, I worked with part of a team who have been contracted by gas provider SP Ausnet to carry out upgrades to the gas infrastructure.This involved removing the old low pressure gas mains/services and replacing them with a smaller diameter high pressure polythylene gas pipe. Teamwork and detailed planning were essential in this role as here is a high focus on safety and completing tasks in a timely and professional manner.

As a Back Office & Distributed Systems Access (DSA) Consultant, I was responsible for ensuring that all Victoria Police access requests are approved and actioned within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).I was required to provide access to secure and restricted Victoria Police server/share directories when requested by Victoria Police members.This involved ensuring that the access request forms that Victoria Police members had submitted to us were lodged correctly and then providing the access that they had requested on the form through Active Directoy. Due to strict contractual agreements, it was imperative that tasks were prioritised and completed quickly to ensure that the Service Level Agreement was met. Duties included:• Validating forms to ensure they meet security standards• Logging access requests to the Victoria Police System• Disable and remove LAN/MAINFRAME accounts for suspended and terminated employees• Distributing system access to LAN accounts whilst ensuring there are no security breaches• Engaging with external vendors on behalf of the client• Logging break/fix requests to the appropriate support team• Assisting first level consultants with access related issues• Training of new BO/DSA staff

In this position I was responsible for making sure that each Victoria Police site had their appropriate daily, weekly, monthly and yearly data backups completed, as well as logging tickets for failed backups and organising that the backup process be re-ran if necessary. This involved contacting the police stations directly to ensure that the relevant backup tape was inserted into the corresponding server(s) so that data, sensitive or otherwise, may be written to them.The purpose of this role was to ensure that all Victoria Police information was sufficiently backed up. Duties included:• Cold calling clients• Assisting clients with tape removal/insertion• Performing Victoria Police data backups• Ensuring that the backup process has been successful• Basic troubleshooting

In March, 2012, I started on the Victoria Police Helpdesk as a CSC Consultant.In this role, I was required to provide first level support to Victoria Police members. This involved assisting members with troubleshooting of general technical issuesand queries.Duties included:• Delivery of professional helpdesk support, answering incoming calls and emails• Logging call records and investigating client technical issues and process based queries, engaging in troubleshooting and fault finding• Resolving technical issues or escalating to the appropriate support team, liaising and negotiating in relation to customer matters• Engaging in tasks as directed by the Service Coordinator including reporting and queue management • Training and developing new employees in help desk processes, ensuring a consistent service approach• Set up of new workstations on site, communicating and liaising with clients• Strong problem solving skills in Windows and Office, Outlook configuration, basic hardware and LAN/WAN troubleshooting

While working as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the McDonald's Helpdesk, I also undertook the task of assisting the Reporting Coordinator when required. While assisting the Reporting Coordinator with daily duties, I was expected to both delegate and perform customer satisfaction surveys (SAT surveys). This involved cold calling the client and asking them a series of questions to evaluate our teams effectiveness of handling and resolving their issue. I also assisted in providing monthly reports to the client by categorising daily incident data and compiling this into a monthly report. This data would be analysed and then sent to McDonalds Head Office.

In February 2010, I started as a helpdesk consultant at the IBM Client Service Centre (CSC) in Ballarat. My role involved providing first level helpdesk support to our clients. This role allowed me to develop troubleshooting and problem determination skills in the following technical areas: -Microsoft Windows operating systems -Using remote access tools to troubleshoot issues -Lotus Notes -Microsoft office usage and troubleshootingAfter progressing into the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) I was expected to not only have detailed knowledge of all supported systems, but also to demonstrate leadership and initiative. The first level consultants had to be able to count on me for training, assistance and ongoing coaching. I was also expected with Liase with McDonald's Head Office on many occassions.
