Over the last 15 years I have found myself in a variety of leadership roles, on sport teams, owning a business, leading large teams, and now while consulting with other leaders.After college I began work as a general manager of a privately owned fitness business. There I focused on professional development of the team, where I facilitated continued education. In addition, I tended to membership relations, where I followed up with clients and made sure they felt cared about and connected to a larger community.I later moved on to launch and found BLACK SHEEP with the goal of reaching the "black sheep" of the community. This is where my passion for leadership took off. I developed specific onboarding process for new employees to introduce them to the unique culture and vision of the business. In addition, we also launched a community service oriented arm of the business called, BLACK SHEEP RESTORE, which mobilized volunteers to collect goods and or give time. Since selling BLACK SHEEP I have had the incredible honor to work with business leaders. This work led me back to school for a masters in Organizational Leadership at Lewis University, where I was nominated for my schools chapter in the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success. What began with some consulting and has evolved into a full blown passion for leadership development for business owners, community leaders. I believe if we all see ourselves as leaders, and seek to develop the leader in us, together we can create a truly bright version of the future. ONWARD-Dean M. Leber
