About Dean Mortera

Growing up, I never thought I would follow in my dad's footsteps as a machinist, but a college summer job ignited my passion for manufacturing. Now, with experience in NC programming, tool design, process engineering, ERP implementation, and Manufacturing Engineering, I live by the motto: always learn, always grow. I'm a trade show enthusiast, always eager to learn what's new at IMTS and Eastec. I am a team leader, encouraging others to find solutions and improvements based on valuable learned lessons.I am committed to passing on manufacturing knowledge to future generations. Through mentoring my son's robotics high school team, giving factory tours to our local college manufacturing students or giving presentations on aerospace manufacturing at the Cradle of Aviation. On my free time, I enjoy Sci-fi, foodie group meets, Maker activities (3d printing, Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and Amateur Radio.
