About Deanna Harris

I am a graduate of the Master of Teaching (MT) program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and am trained in intermediate and senior-level biology and history classroom instruction. Prior to completing my MT degree, I also obtained Master of Science (MSc) and specialized honours Bachelor of Science (hBSc) degrees in the field of biology, as well as an honours Bachelor of Arts degree (hBA) in humanities from York University. As a science student at York, I worked for 4 years as an undergraduate and graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Joel Shore, where my research focused on the genetics an evolution of distyly (a particular breeding system) in the plant genus, Turnera.
