Twenty years of successful science teaching (grades 2 through 12!) and instructional coaching, earning professional status in three districts. Certified to teach science in Massachusetts (grades 1 through 12) and licensed as a Science Supervisor/Director. Thrive in a collaborative environment. Adept at unpacking Massachusetts and Next Generation Science Standards in order to plan inquiry- and project-based lessons. Designed and taught professional development workshops for elementary and middle school teachers. Observed and coached science teachers, provided targeted feedback, and collaborated on student-centered goals and instructional strategies. Authored and received multiple grants totaling over $30,000. Current focuses on culturally responsive teaching practices, data-driven instruction, Responsive Classroom approach, anchoring phenomena, and technology integration.
