Efficient, organized, take-charge problem-solver offering striking success in a fast-paced environment by designing customer-centric solutions amid uncertainty. Proven by resourcefully instituting project management skills to deliver impactful events, improve program effectiveness, increase market voice, and anchoring teams to data-driven results.I am a self-starter, critical thinker, and a natural leader. As a community organizer, I have been developing my skillset in building relationships with state and local officials as well as collaborating with other community leaders to advocate for health and safety on behalf of the people of Utah. At CONNECT Summit County, we transitioned to an entirely remote environment on March 25, 2020, which required leadership and quick thinking. By taking the lead from the Summit County Health Department, I started preparing equipment and technology to continue our warm line for mental health resources. At the same time, I took the lead with a local mental health therapist to start virtual mental health support groups. Between March and the end of May, we had 42 offerings which were all HIPAA-compliant and led by a trained professional. During my time at Park City Community Foundation, I started the Community Response Fund which has deployed over $3 million since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. The inspiration for this type of fund came from other communities devastated by wildfires and other natural disasters. In preparation for launching this fund, I met with leaders such as the County Health Director and Emergency Manager, Community Engagement Manager for Park City, and Utah State Representatives and candidates, demonstrating my strategic political skills and intuition. I also assisted in the Park City Community Foundation’s social equity initiative. I firmly believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion should be centered when addressing any advocacy effort, especially if historically marginalized and low-income communities are disproportionally affected. In 2019, I ran for Park City Council because of the disconnect between working people and leadership. At the time, I was part of the rank-and-file class with multiple service-industry jobs. Because of this lens, I was recently asked to convene a Housing Taskforce for Park City for a new approach to the exhausted housing conversation.
