I have worked in the field of education since 1994. As a former special education teacher, I am passionate about working with at-risk students, empowering children, and building community. After starting my family, I left the classroom and moved into the educational publishing and ed-tech world. My skill set is diverse as I have been responsible for sales teams, marketing campaigns, teacher training, video tutorials and e-Learning courseware for educators. I am the co-founder of e-Impact Consulting and I oversee all instructional design projects. We partner with organizations to bring real-world classroom experience to the table and insight into best practices in schools.

We offer subject matter expertise in instructional design, online learning management systems, teacher training, special education, teacher evaluation, social and emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices. Collaborations with Heather T. Forbes and Educational Impact led to the development of the Trauma-informed Online Academy. Through a partnership with Beyond Consequences Institute, we create exceptional professional development experiences for schools. Together we have created the Trauma-informed Online Academy, e-Learning resources for teacher training and a rubric for educators to learn how to create, sustain and assess trauma-informed classrooms. I was a contributing author to Classroom180, a framework for creating, sustaining and assessing the trauma-informed classroom, by Heather T. Forbes. We help you go beyond "one and done" inservice days to create school-wide change.
