My role with Educational Impact evolved from instructional design to senior management. I wear many hats in this organization:- Managing the entire instructional design process, content and team- Designing online courses through a customized learning management system (View catalog of courses below)- Customizing implementation plans to meet specific needs of K12 and Higher Ed stakeholders- Working daily with CEO and COO to drive revenue and product map- Collaborating with technical team to deliver product updates, QA and trouble shoot- Educating sales team with product and content updates- Providing sales tools for use in the field- Creating and analyzing marketing campaigns for effectiveness- Executing and managing all customer success initiatives and personnel - On-boarding and training new users - Developing and maintaining relationships with K12 and Higher Ed users- Hosting workshops for educators through on site trainings and webcasts- Providing video-based tutorials

We partner with organizations to apply an education lens to all operations; implementation, communication, customer success, sales and marketing. We offer subject matter expertise in instructional design, online learning management systems, teacher training, special education, teacher evaluation, social and emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices. Collaborations with Heather T. Forbes and Educational Impact led to the development of the Trauma-informed Online Academy. Through a partnership with Beyond Consequences Institute, we create exceptional professional development experiences for schools. Together we have created the Trauma-informed Online Academy, e-Learning resources for teacher training and a rubric for educators to learn how to create, sustain and assess trauma-informed classrooms. I was a contributing author to Classroom180, a framework for creating, sustaining and assessing the trauma-informed classroom, by Heather T. Forbes. We help you go beyond "one and done" inservice days to create school-wide change.

In this position, I managed the western US and Canadian sales teams. With quarterly targets, I empowered and managed independent contractors in various territories. I traveled extensively to assist in the field with product presentations, meetings with key stakeholders and teacher training workshops.

This was my first step towards a new career after teaching. I provided curriculum resources and educational software to schools in Colorado and trained teachers in how to implement them. As an independent contractor, I represented a number of educational publishers including AutoSkill / School Specialty, Newbridge, Curriculum Associates and Rand McNally.

Teaching at Calgary Academy was a very rewarding experience for me. - Students nominated me for Pan Canadian Student Choice Award- Taught in the grade 7 comprehensive program for students with learning disabilities and attention deficits- Worked with paraprofessionals to further support my students' learning and provide small group instruction- Facilitated professional development workshops

Working at the high school level was not something I had planned but when this opportunity came up, I couldn't say no. I was hired to design a new support program for students with Learning Disabilities: IDEA (Individually Directed Educational Assistance). I also had a full teaching assignment with tenth graders:- English 18, English 13- Social Studies 10, Social Studies13- Co-coached junior basketball
