• Thesis: Nutrient dynamics in a short rotation woody coppice biofuel production system in southern Ontario, CanadaThesis Research: Analyzed nutrient cycles during a 3-year harvest rotation period of willow and poplar.
• Designed and executed experiments for the collection of nitrogen, carbon, phosphorous, and potassium from atmospheric deposition, leaf litterfall and decomposition, nitrogen mineralization, and yield harvest
• Built data collection apparatuses for throughfall, stemflow, and leaf litterfall, and constructed leaf litter decomposition bags for analysis
• Collected data for nutrient inputs from atmospheric deposition (throughfall and stemflow), nutrient transfers from leaf litterfall, decomposition and nitrogen mineralization, and nutrient removals from yield harvest
