I have many years experience in transcription of all kinds. In the last several years I have worked in legal transcription, earning my CDLT (certified digital legal transcriptionist) certification in 2023.I am currently taking courses to become a paralegal. I will graduate from MSU with a certificate in Paralegal Studies May, 2024. I am eager to continue my education formally and/or through on the job training. Being a legal transcriptionist gives me a unique perspective working as a paralegal. Through my work as a digital legal transcriptionist, I have been like a fly on the wall, observing all kinds of legal situations. My education has helped me to piece those together. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel my strength lies in document preparation and legal research as I prepare to graduate. I will work to become a well-rounded paralegal who can be an asset to any legal firm. I hold a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Southern MS. Although my paralegal certificate is not a degree, it supplements my existing degree nicely. I hope to be working as a paralegal in the next several months.I also enjoy proofreading, editing, and working with my husband in our photo booth business. Snaparazzi has been our photo booth (originally it was Big Top Photo Booth) since 2011. I still help him when I can.
