Co-Founder and Director of Subject, a design and manufacturing consultancy that specialises in multi-media projects for commercial and arts clients. I work collaboratively with the other partners on the direction and execution of contracts and research projects, as well as hands-on design work which focuses on small-scale products produced both in-house and by manufacturing partners globally.Our embedded design research initiative examines fractures at the intersection of data, architecture, society and politics, using design as an experimental vehicle for research and journalism. We have presented work in academic journals and exhibitions, examining how design can tell stories and investigate contemporary issues in society.

Lead designer for one of the two reusable respirators designed for project CARE, for the Royal Academy of Engineering, in association with Leeds university, Mayku and various other supporting organisations. The mask responds to a need for remote and low-income communities to produce their own PPE locally, where supply chains have failed or have become difficult to access, to support with the management of the Covid-19 pandemic. The product is designed to adhere to strict medical standards, be simple to produce at scale and cost-effective. My role was to oversee the 3D design, prototyping, iterative testing and multi-media instructional documents for manufacturers and end-users.
