Director of the firm's tax division dealing with all aspects of taxation including company re-organisations, management buy-outs, share option schemes, property transactions as well as advising on any technical tax matters.• Responsibility for the firm's corporation tax compliance work on all corporate clients, including the review of computations and liaison with the audit department.• Identification of tax planning opportunities. • Advising companies on claiming R&D tax credits and preparing R&D tax reports for submission to HMRC.• Preparation and review of tax accounting for the statutory accounts both on an entity and consolidated basis under UK GAAP.• Responsibility for the preparation and submission of partnership tax returns, including LLPs.• Responsibility for all HMRC corporation tax enquiries and input into Employer Compliance checks and VAT visits.• Tax advisory projects, including the preparation of advance clearances to HMRC and tax advice papers to clients covering all taxes.• Review of tax advice.• Ad-hoc VAT advice for clients in areas such as property and overseas supplies.• Preparation of fiscal share valuation reports for probate, EMI schemes etc.• Involvement in compliance services for non-audit clients such as UK subsidiaries of listed international companies.• Supervision of the tax team.• Providing support to other departments in corporate tax matters, such as our insolvency practice.
