Dean was lead architect for all Brands, and Universal applications on the DaimlerChrysler web-site (www.dodge.com, www.jeep.com, www.chrysler.com, www.chryslerfinancial.com, www.mopar.com, and many more, etc.). This was a multiphased, multimillion dollar engagement, with site launches beginning (9/20/2000—12/5/2000). In addition to his technology responsibilities, he was responsible for the career development of nine Project Engineers.Dean also led Organic in its effort to reorganize its DaimlerChrysler teams towards a retainer model, as well as the development of a Managed Operations team. He introduced iterative development methods, object oriented design and modeling techniques, and integrated tooling to the project teams.

Dean was an Associate in Product Management for a worldwide consulting firm, Andersen Worldwide. He designed and implemented a workflow application to track the installation of SNA gateways for a worldwide consulting firm, Arthur Andersen & Co., S.C. (Andersen Worldwide). He streamlined the installation procedure, reduced the learning curve for new hires, and eliminated the use of paper. He served as liaison between the user community and the development cell, using his Spanish language fluency to communicate with users. He wrote technical bulletins that addressed the user community regarding product enhancements, problems and complex system changes. Dean gathered requirements and developed project plans for system test, user test, roll-out and subsequent upgrades.

Dean performed a workflow and imaging project for a large private-label credit card company, Household Retail Services, Household Bank. He participated in process and system re-engineering for the Customer Service call center. Mr. Phillips conducted interviews to document processes, installed hardware and software, and served as LAN Administrator.Dean worked for Household during the summers while in undergraduate school as a Collector. He primarily serviced Spanish speaking customers. Additional responsibilities included managing critical statistics related to the call center and produced reports in Lotus 123.
