As a member of the software development and architecture teams, across multiple products/projects, I built the new client side application architecture to support multiple front-end teams to achieve fast delivery, agile, dependable products. I introduced the organization to AngularJS and built an application framework around the ecosystem of Gulp, bower, npm, Bootstrap, D3 for visualizations, SCSS, and many re-usable client-side components. The architecture leverages many micro web services built with Dropwizard and Java to support massive horizontal scalability. Yeoman generators were built to enable a team to quickly start a new UI project and get it released to a test environment in 10 minutes with re-usable Jenkins builds to get things released quickly and efficiently.I worked closely with our UX designers to help innovate on usability and best practices to ensure seamless experience across applications running on the UI Framework we call SUI, Single User Interface.The paramount success with the framework was achieved through modularization of every application running in the platform to enable multiple teams to independently develop and release their applications without having a monolithic single user interface to deploy. All applications fit together at release time through some tricks with Apache.I was heavily involved with application security through SSO, SAML, our F5 APM and implemented the security layers in web services to support configurability of the multi-tenant applications.Worked with DevOps to implement deployment pipelines to enable stakeholders and QA to release applications via Jenkins to environments running Linux.We use JIRA, Github Enterprise, and Jenkins for our continuous delivery development processes.
