Responsible for both the development and support of Amex's sole Enterprise Token Vault - a scalable and highly available product used in mobile and online transactions globally, deployed on Cloud based infrastructure. This conforms to the EMVCo specifications for tokenisation.In addition to ETV, I managed the development and production support of GNO Marketing portfolio consisting of both publicly facing applications for our network partners such as Global Network Web and Knowledge Base, based on Mangolia CMS, Partner Product Pricing and the Partner Authorisation System used for all servicing auth.

Responsible for a team of developers, support engineers, and site reliability engineers, involved with the support and maintenance of Amex's internal private Cloud solution (based on Openshift). This was the first eCP team within EMEA.We were involved in evangelising the platform; providing solutions and technical support for the Cloud products within American Express, while maintaining the platform in a follow-the-sun model, shared with America and India.

A newly expanded development team involved in green-field development for brand-new Virgin Holidays sites, whilst maintaining existing portlet-based legacy systems.The architecture was developer-driven and focused on micro-service implementations via a service-orientated-architecture, using a variety of deployment implementations including AWS, Tomcat, Puppet and Dropwizard.Magnolia was the chosen CMS and I was heavily involved in programmatically customising a variety of the lower-level functionality of Magnolia especially the JBPM-based workflow, along with other custom features.Various technologies were incorporated into the new platforms, including Spring Batch and Elasticsearch; which were developed in a mix of Java, Spring and Groovy via a TDD & Agile/Scrum based approach.
