• Designed and developed an application system for generating the Federal Reserve’s weekly H.4.1 Statistical Release in SAS/AF 6.12 on Windows NT. Subsequently ported the system to Linux, replacing significant SAS functionality with Linux C-shell scripts, and made other major enhancements.OS/Languages/Software: Windows NT, Linux, SAS V6 & V8 (Base, Macro, AF)• Identified accessory H.4.1 system requirement and developed the process, executed in Ruby, XML, and PostScript, to maintain release templates. Templates and data values were merged to produce final weekly H.4.1 Statistical Release with identical content in various formats, including Section 508 compliant HTML and a PostScript version which was then converted to PDF. Old labor intensive process was prone to discrepancies between the formats. Later expanded new process to produce related releases. OS/Languages/Software: Linux, Ruby, XML, PostScript, HTML• Reverse engineered and rewrote a C++ monetary projection system in support of the Federal Reserve’s Open Market Operations. Pair-programmed the rewrite in Smalltalk and R on Linux with PostgreSQL.OS/Languages/Software: Linux, Smalltalk, R, C++• Designed DB2 tables for the Board’s Financial Data Repository rewrite, which replaced the existing tape-based retrieval with DB2-based data storage and access. Designed and wrote the SAS PROC for retrieving data in a meaningful manner. PROC was written in SAS/C and also made extensive use of SAS Data Step Views and SQL queries. Upgraded/validated PROC through SAS Version 9.3. OS/Languages/Software: z/OS, SAS V6, V8 & V9 (Base, Macro, Toolkit), SAS/C, DB2• Maintained Financial Data Repository Data Load (ETL) software, a mainframe-based (z/OS) system in SAS, XML, DB2, SQL, JCL, and ISPF with source controlled by ENDEVOR ENDEVOR.
