CurrentAs the leader of the Protection Systems Services department, I work with elite teams to deliver software, forensic analysis, test automation, test execution, and value-added hardware engineering. Our teams strive every day to make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical. Our work improves quality of life around the world.The configuration software that customers experience as the "face" of our protective devices is one of our primary responsibilities. We work hard to provide intuitive, approachable, performant, and easy to use software interfaces to facilitate interaction with, and management of, devices that are critical to the safe, reliable, and economical operation of the power system.I'm also charged with supporting the protective relay forensics and test automation teams. We make sure that the devices perform as designed and we get to root cause in the rare cases where they don't.Prior to this assignment, I was responsible for firmware and test development for high and medium voltage protective relay products.I developed & taught SEL's Python training class. I have helped hundreds of colleagues become proficient Python coders. Python has really taken hold throughout the company.
