I helped deliver highly optimized SDR waveforms by building and analyzing resource aware executable models of communications systems and SDR waveforms. These models provided critical insight into performance, resource requirements and portability of the waveforms. I used Foresight Modeling Language and C++ to create the models, with Python for tools and analysis.

We attempted to improve software quality by applying data analytics to the development process. I developed the prototype in Python, using Mongo DB for data storage. We ran on an AWS Linux VM with an Apache web server. Our server side software was a combination of Python, HTML, PHP and CGI. I wrote all of the software, including the test automation framework that allowed me to validate changes as the code evolved.

My primary responsibilities included executive leadership, sales, marketing, business development, technology refinement and all of the random administrative tasks that popped up as we did our bit to fuel the vertical integration revolution.

Set corporate objectives and operate the business. Direct accountability for establishing technical direction and delivering Now Software’s group scheduling & address book management products. Full P&L responsibility for the business unit, including responsibility for sales and marketing of Now’s technology products. Products were available on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. Products were the category leaders on the Mac. Successes included helping Now transition from being a software publisher to being a mainstream software developer by building the Windows development team, and rebuilding the Mac team. Several product revisions were delivered, including the release of breakthrough Web products that enabled sharing of schedule and contact information on the World Wide Web. Initiated and led the development and market introduction of Now’s next generation of client / server products. Sold Now Software to Qualcomm, Inc. to strengthen their Eudora product line.
