Worked in a fast paced environment to develop financial services.Created backend Spring microservices for new mobile banking app. These services featured:• REST endpoints as well as Amazon/ActiveMQ for communication across microservices.• Structured logging for SumoLogic.• Dynatrace Performance monitoring/W3C trace id error tracking.• Feature flags through Split.io.• Test Driven Development with 80% code coverage through SonarCloud.Served as technical point of contact to our 3rd party banking vendors. Ensured that 3rd party api's and callbacks were understood and worked as expected. Developed Postman Collections for 3rd party endpoints and our microservices' endpoints to aid in team development and testing.Continued backend development of legacy loan application including developing new "offers" service to increase customers' product awareness.Assumed ownership of legacy jQuery admin tool for the loan application.

Software engineer for the movie industry.Created an internal java/MySQL metadata collection systems for the movie industry. The metadata is divided between title (movies, TV, videos), and website data (known and suspected piracy sites). These data collections are used by movie industry groups such as production studios (Disney, etc.) , the MPAA and EIDR.Created a JPA/Hibernate api to provide metadata access.Created several services/clients that operated off of the metadata api:• A Swagger/Spring web api for general data access. The api has two modes: Querying which returns a list of data ids, and data retrieval which returns customized data for the ids.• A Quartz batch service for scheduled maintenance (source updates).• A service to drive EIDR updates from the internal metadata. EIDR is a public facing repository of information for media titles.• A Node.js/Mongoose service to export title metadata to Mongo Db.• Javascript web pages to visualize the data and for some administration. The pages feature charting using NVD3 and grids using agGrid and Slickgrid.

Technical Lead for a web based property insurance application. Responsible for coordinating engineering teams to provide technical solutions, overseeing the deployment of new project releases and for pushing feature enhancements through development and ultimately to the production environment.

Developed and owned new release components while working on a globally distributed team. Engineering was in France and QA was in India.Resolved cross product dependencies by serving as a liaison between my French based development team and other EMC teams in the U.S. Also served as a U.S. based point person providing customer support engineering.Responsible for keeping the product alive and profitable prior to the formation of the international team. Served as the sole product engineer during a period of consolidation.Developed new components for product releases, created quality assurance tools, created XML schemas to describe configuration data and allow for product configuration, developed/maintained product installation suite and test suite.
