Dean works with organsations in Australia and SE Asia in clean energy and clean tech. He is advising New Energy Nexus Ventures, an emerging venture capital fund manager currently raising their first fund, NEXCatalyst, investing in early stage cleantech in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam as well as being an active angel investor in cleantech in Australia. Dean is also a board member of Australia's Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and a non-executive director of ACEN Corporation, a listed regional renewable developer headquartered in the Philippines.Dean has more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector across global markets in mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, project development and operations. He has worked across Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe with global electricity utility and energy service company ENGIE. During his time at ENGIE he was responsible for market entry into the UK, upstream biomass production in British Columbia, Canada, and the development of renewable projects in Indonesia. Prior to his departure he was head of renewable development at ENGIE Australia.He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of New South Wales and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
