As a service porter welcome new and existing clients to the service center. Clients come to our service center for various reasons. Most of the time they come in for scheduled service and sometimes they come in for smaller checklist items. My role is to document the cars existing state for the client and dealership to organize the parking lot for the managers. This is important because they need to know how long each car is staying with the dealership. This information can help service productivity, ordering of miscellaneous parts, and client relations.

I am a bike salesman for Sun and Ski Sports in Promenade. During my time in sales, I have also learned technical skills from bike mechanics. I initially wanted to work as a mechanic, but I did not have enough experience. I used my time during slow days to learn how to adjust derailleurs, brakes, change tires, and much more.Never having worked in sales before, I used my experience from Chick-Fil-A to let customers feel welcomed. My favorite aspect about this job is seeing satisfied customers leave the store with a new bike, bike rack, or Thule roof storage. Customer service is what I rely on since I am still learning the sales trade, and I thank Chick-Fil-A for teaching me that.

Whether it was building a truck for the upcoming race, tending to problems in the shop, or modeling new parts in SolidWorks for machinists, no time was wasted.

A year later, I became a team leader for the back of the house and developed leadership skills.The biggest challenge I faced while I was working at Chick-Fil-A was holding another job at the same time. This second job was my sales/repair job at Sun and Ski Sports. I worked both jobs for the better part of a year before I decided to leave Chich-Fil-A to learn more about sales.
