Responsible for all associates and line performance from the slitter thru pack out.

Brought in as a contracted consultant to execute an operations turn around at a premium pet food manufacturing site, accomplished a complete Maintenance Stores data/physical inventory clean, complete reorganization of the store room, and critical spares ranking process implemented. Took the purchasing function from multiple internal sources to single source with multiple standard operating procedures written and implemented. Plant efficiencies increased 200% and cost savings of $500,000 realized.

Various Positions Held progressively responsible positions in Operations and finished in Central Systems.Key Achievements: Achieved Expert Level in Bagging, Casing and Wrapping and was successful as WIP Coordinator for Line responsible for all material cycle counts and inventory control. As Line 1 GMP Coordinator implemented cleaning procedures, improvements to GMP documentation and procedures, and dramatically enhanced the appearance and condition of Line 1 providing leadership for continuous improvement initiatives for the line. At Plant Level, implemented changes to packaging, hand pack stations, and methodology to recover wrapped scrap to use as rework. Red Team Labor Coordinator for improvement of plant performance, personally developed reporting tools to manage overtime, staffing, and temporary staffing that resulted in $500,000 in labor cost reductions and the 2005 MTD site Award nomination. Managed operations staffing for Preventive Maintenance and Work Order completion; developed long-range staff planning based on plant scheduling process. Developed GMP checklists, Standard Work Instructions for all Central Systems and the original Central Systems FMOS scoreboard.

Started on the Bar Lines packing candy and then progressed thru several positions of increasing responsibility. Worked in the Quality Department as a Quality Technician performing all on-line quality checks. Worked as a user/fixer in the Process area achieving expert status.
