Growing surgical center for a busy Electrophysiologist, placing ILR’s, PPMs, ICDs, BiVs, and trial devices.

Electrophysiology Lab at the Heart Hospital deals with multiple patient procedures. EP studies, ablations, device implants and new procedures that are constant evolving. The nurses in this lab are responsible for setting up the equipment needed for the procedures which include two mapping systems, stimming-pacing with the Bloom and St Jude Claris system, scrubbing, monitoring and preforming conscious sedation, setting up anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Setting up all equipment which can include mapping systems, anesthesia equipment, preparing the patient for the procedure as in patching and positioning the patient. Stimming and pacing protocols, scrubbing, monitoring and conscious sedation for safe patient outcomes.

Staff nurse in cath lab. Very busy lab, one room consist of RN for monitoring and sedation, scrub tech or nurse and rad tech. This lab preforms multiple procedures as diagnostic, angioplasty, stents, IABP, Rotor Blader, CTO's, IVUS, Empella and the next newest procedures. Working three, 12 hour shifts with call. The lab has 4 cath lab rooms and 3 Electrophysiology rooms.

Working all intensive care areas which included trauma, cardiac/post CABG, surgical, medical, neuro, emergency and trauma room and recovery room.
