I am committed to ensuring that families, communities and the early childhood sector are knowledgeable, supported and confident to work as a team to maximise potential for all young children. My focus and advocacy is to ensure that every child has a life filled with play. My passion and advocacy for the early years has led me to establish an early years consultancy business, ELF, which supports families, communities, and education, building confidence and competence, and a common and consistent understanding of developmentally appropriate practice in early childhood.I have been an early childhood educator with over 25 years’ experience in teaching, administration, and adult learning facilitation. My roles included Level 3 classroom teacher, SAER (Students at Educational Risk) Co-ordinator, Deputy Principal in a specialist early childhood school, and a facilitator of adult learning in both metro and rural settings. In addition, as a lifelong learner, I have worked as an Allied Health Assistant in Occupational Therapy in rural Western Australia and am trained as an Interplay Therapist.Outside of work I am Mum to three fabulous boys, who inspire me each and every day; I am married to a wonderfully supportive and caring man.
