In this role, I am part of a team that provides physical therapy (including hippotherapy) to children.

In this role, I'm focused on kicking off a new committee -- building upon the work completed by the APTA Pediatrics PTA task force in 2020 - 2021. Our focus is on advancing four pathways for pediatric PTAs: Achievement, Learning, Leadership, and Inclusion. The committee is open to PT and PTA members.

Our task force is charged with identifying formal professional development activities (CEU earning) for pediatric PTAs provided by or in partnership with APTA Pediatrics by reviewing current and previous course descriptions and objectives. We'll present our findings and recommendations to the APTA Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy Board in 2021.

Clinical internship in an outpatient setting (200 hours). Focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, general strengthening, postural alignment, body mechanics, and gait analysis / gait training.

Aultman Woodlawn - Canton, Ohio

Clinical internship in an inpatient rehabilitation setting (200 hours). Focus on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. In-service presentation: LiteGait - partial weight bearing gait training device.

Clinical internship in an acute care setting (200 hours). Focus on orthopedic acute care, inpatient rehabilitation. In service presentation: Neuro Developmental Therapy (NDT).
