OVERVIEW: As a performer: I starred on Broadway and London's West End in the TONY-nominated musical "Smokey Joe's Cafe". I also toured the world for 5 years with "The Mamas & The Papas" (yes, with John Phillips and Denny Doherty!) singing the songs made famous by the late Mama Cass. Also spent a year on the 1st National tour of the Broadway musical "Jekyll & Hyde" (recording below). As a voiceover actor: I recently narrated a novel for Audible.com called "Joy & Anger". As a Voice Teacher and Audition coach: I've been teaching for more than 15 years and one of my students was a finalist on the first season of the X Factor!

I teach private one-on-one vocal technique and performance coaching and audition prep for all ages. I have also taught group classes with emphasis on song interpretation, acting, harmony singing and improvisation. I’ve taught week long camps for “tweens" with themes that incorporated:- acting the song, how to audition for musical theater, how to use a mic, singing in a girl group (I also created and taught the choreography), Pop & Rock Technique, use of rhythm, theater games and how to create voices for cartoon characters.

I was the vocal supervisor for the first Asian production of “Smokey Joe’s Cafe” presented at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre. I had to coach each actor to sing in a way that met the stylistic demands of the production and to navigate the range of the Rhythm & Blues music of American composers Leiber & Stoller . I also collaborated with the director, Mohamed Drissi and the actors on creating their own compelling performances of those songs. Though all the actors were bilingual I also had to coach singers in General American accents. While I was there I also taught master classes for professional and novice singers (Hong Kongese adults).

Portrayed the role of country singer "June Carter Cash" in the show RING OF FIRE, a musical celebrating the life and music of the late country legend Johnny Cash. Directed by Sherry and David Lutken. Also played the musical instruments: Ukelele, washboard, tambourine and "chains in a bucket".

Narrated and voiced multiple characters for the novel "Joy & Anger" by Jennifer Blake using dialects that include Mid-Atlantic, Boston and Creole. A sample of the book can be heard by clicking link below.

Performed in the Pulitzer Prize winning musical play "Next to Normal". Played the role of the mother, Diana, who is manic-depressive with delusions. The role takes a journey from bi-polar hyper to suicidal depression to post electro-shock therapy. Sung in a rock music style.

Portrayed the role of Lady Montague in Michael Kimmel's adaptation of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" set to the music of the late Jeff Buckley and choreographed by Sonya Tayeh.

Recorded the voice of children's toys: Cruise-Around-Playground and Polar Coaster.
