Midway-Riceboro Library

As the Book Club Moderator I chose the book for the monthly book club for library patrons. I researched the book, author and any interesting item pertaining to the time period, setting or storyline of the book. It was my responsibility to maintain the flow of the discussion, to ask questions to keep said discussion going. Also being able to answer question about the author and their biography.

Under the direct supervision of the Director, David Holcomb, I was assigned to design and implement a volunteer program utilizing community participation and teen volunteers. I was able to directly contact the local high schools to coordinate with their counselors, offering their students an opportunity to serve their required volunteer hours with the Liberty County YMCA. They received a certificate if they completed their required hours. I also coordinated with adults to volunteer to help programs within the YMCA. I was able to schedule volunteers for a variety of festivals, programs, camps and dances.

Ymca Of Coastal Georgia

Under the direct supervision of the Director I evaluated applications for a free or reduced membership to the YMCA. I issuedmemberships based on the guidelines given to me. I interviewed each potential member as to their specific needs and issued the scholarship according to their needs. I kept the files, applications and information secure and private, due to sensitive information.
