Simulation subject matter expert. Southeast regional manger, collaborates with regional campuses to provide support, guidance and direction for evidence based best practice for simulation and experiential learning. Specifically, integration of evidence based clinical practice into simulation and Quality, Safety and Education for Nursing (QSEN) into experiential learning. Synergizing with regional managers for clinical placement in the SimCare Centers to provide optimal clinical opportunities for experiential learning for students. Key accomplishments include; standardized orientation for the lab staff training, Clinical incident reporting using the JUST Culture for reporting within the organization, and supporting integration of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) into the student experience. Performed set up of 9 new campus simulation centers within the organization reducing set up time by 62% though systems integration and process improvements.

Working with nursing students and helping them to develop their clinical skill sets, such as fundamental skills and work in the simulation lab to help them develop their critical thinking with patient care. Development and enhancement of clinical simulation within the college. Responsible for the development of the pediatric simulation and roll out. Utilizing best practices such as; QSEN, AIDET, SBAR and "Hand offs" during simultion to help better prepare our nurses for the future.

Assisted in educational development for clinical staff at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital. Coordination with Stroke Educator on development of a stroke program for the Michigan City Indiana area. Assisting with additional projects that require educational consultation within the hospital.

Health Care Coordinator for Sunrise Assisted Living, responsible for the oversight and management of all medical needs for the community staff and residents. Coordination of additonal resources, such as paliative care, hospice, home health and physical therapy.

Responsible for a state grant project to organize the School Nurse Emergency committee for purposes of enhancing and expanding the course content including, algorithms, 4-day course syllabus and instructor material for the School Nurse Emergency Course (SNEC).

Full time clinical educator for the Emergency Department, in this role the focus was on coaching and developing new graduate nurses in the ED and mentoring experienced staff, new to the emergency department. Deb has appreciated a successful career in coaching others to achieve success in the emergency arena by creating an exciting team environment. Deb also assisted in the roll out of the Stroke and Cardiac alert programs, leading to a "Stroke Center" designation for St. Alexius.
