District Supervisor of Independent Accounts/GRPS Schools/BanksGRBS (Grand Rapids Building Services)7/2023–PresentIn my role, I supervise, train, coach, and counsel team members across various locations in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Lowell, and Muskegon. I make it a point to be aware of the specific job descriptions at each location so that I can provide necessary support if required. Adhering to budget constraints, I always aim to replace personnel with matching pay and without incurring overtime expenses.My responsibilities include monitoring productivity and ensuring the implementation of security procedures at all buildings. Furthermore, I aid my team in executing their duties, understanding job descriptions for compliance during inspections, placing supply orders, requesting time off, and arranging for equipment maintenance and repairs when necessary. My objective is to foster self-sufficiency among team members to the greatest possible extent.When team members fail to complete their tasks promptly or meet the inspection standards set by GRBS as per the contract for each account, I hold them accountable and document these situations. I address issues such as tardiness, absenteeism, and inappropriate use of time or behavior. When requested by the Account Manager, I issue verbal warnings and document these using DTS (write-ups). At times, I have had to escort employees out of a building as per instructions from the Account Manager or Regional Manager. In addition, I conduct building walk-throughs when required.Every night, I compile a closing report as per the assigned Account Manager's instructions in the GRBS portal. This serves as a means of communicating all daily events within their buildings to the management.I also take charge of matters related to uniforms, safety procedures, and accident reporting.
